Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir state finance commission Mehmoud-ur-Rehman has said every effort will be made to mitigate problems of migrants, who had to leave their homes in the valley due to militancy.

"We are aware about the problems of the migrants and assure them that their demands will not only be taken up with concerned departments but also be reflected in commission report," Rehman said while interacting with activists of political migrants here yesterday.

He said accommodation was the major issue for the migrants and "adequate measures will be taken to sort it out."

He said several demands of the migrants have already been addressed and the remaining problems will also be looked into.

The state legislative assembly, during the session this month, granted three months final extension to the commission for submitting its report.
