National Students Union of India (NSUI) activists today blackened the face of an Executive Engineer(EE) of a power distribution company following disruption in power supply to a locality here since last four days.

The NSUI activists reached Madhya Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited (MPCPDCL) and after handing over a memorandum to EE Sunil Dhopad, blackened his face, police said, adding the MPCPDCL employees then clashed with the NSUI activists.

Around 30 protesters had come down to the MPCPDCL's divisional office in the City demanding that the power supply to Ramnagar railway crossing area should be restored. There was no electricity in the area after the power supply line broke four days back, the protesters claimed.

The Kotwali police have arrested NSUI district president Koushal Pandit and another protester who was carrying some substance that was used to blacken Dhopad's face.

A case has been registered against the protesters under section 353 of IPC and further investigations were on, police said.
