GHAZIABAD: June 14 (PTI) Emotions and tempers ran high with relatives, police and media jostling with each other as Krishna, compounder of Dr Rajesh Talwar, prime accused in the gruesome Noida double murder case, was brought on Saturday to the Ghaziabad local court.

Dressed in casual grey T-shirt and blue jeans, Krishna, who was on Friday arrested by the CBI, walked into the court amidst all the high drama.

A pale-looking Krishna was standing like a stone when the CBI counsel was explaining the need for the custodial interrogation.

The stone-looking Krishna broke down inconsolably when his sister Parvati arrived in the court room. Hugging his sister tightly, both of them cried while his cousin brother Laxman looked on even as media and the police personnel surrounded them.

"He is innocent. He has done nothing wrong. Please save him," an inconsolable Parvati said as TV cameras zoomed in amidst flashes of still photographers.

As he stood solemnly in the court of Additional Civil Judge Deep Kant Mani, all eyes were on the CBI counsel R K Saini, who pitched for a 14 days' of CBI remand.

Saini contended that Krishna's custodial interrogation was necessary for ensuring some more arrests and also said the agency was yet to recover the weapon used in the gruesome murders of 14-year-old Aarushi and the domestic help Hemraj along with their mobile phone and some blood soaked clothes.

Krishna's counsel, who had an agitated look on his face, gave a tough time to CBI's counsel with regular interventions and allegation that his client had been held illegally and all the scientific tests conducted on him were done without his consent.

The media persons, whom the CBI has been accusing of being intrusive, hung on to every word as many scribbled down everything that both the counsels said even as they kept an eye on the Judge Mani and the two counsels fighting a pitched legal battle.

It was not just the inside the courtroom where all the actions were taking place.

The entire court premises had turned into a virtual fortress with many khaki-clad UP policemen being on alert since morning to ward off any miscreants and to keep a check on the media who had descended in droves.

The tired UP police sprang up as they sensed the impending media avalanche on Krishna.

As Krishna was being whisked away for medical check-up, there was almost a stampede as camera-crews zoomed in on him while reporters jostled for an exclusive sound-byte-- though none managed.
