Delhi govt not paying attention to Uttar Pradesh migrants' welfare: Mayawati

'A large number of people from UP and Bihar resides in Delhi but the government there is not paying heed to their welfare resulting in their poor economic condition', the BSP supremo said.

BSP supremo Mayawati today charged the Congress government in Delhi with not paying attention to welfare of migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

"A large number of people from UP and Bihar resides in Delhi but the government there is not paying heed to their welfare resulting in their poor economic condition. To give equal opportunities to these people, it is necessary that a BSP government should come to power in Delhi," she said here.

The UP chief minister said the party unit should be strengthened in both states for better performance in future polls.

She was addressing a meeting of party workers from Delhi and Uttrakhand units.
