The Delhi High Court today issued notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation on the plea of AK Reddy, promoter of Hyderabad-based AKR Constructions, seeking anticipatory bail in the Common Wealth Games (CWG) Timing, Scoring and Results system scam.

Reddy, evading arrest, has moved the High Court after the special CBI Judge dismissed his plea on June 15.

A bench of Justice Mukta Gupta asked the CBI to respond by the next hearing on July 12.

Earlier, the lower court imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Reddy for wasting its time by seeking recall of its order declaring him a proclaimed offender on May 23.

AKR Construction was sub-contracted the TSR work by Gem International which, itself, was a sub-contractor of Swiss firm -- Swiss Timing.

The agency has said that a the state lost around Rs95 crore as Reddy awarded TSR contract to the Swiss firm.

Rejecting the bail plea, the lower court had said "even after the proclamation was issued, no plausible explanation came forward from Reddy in respect of transfer of Rs 12.88 crore by Gem International, a company of another accused."
