The district administration today relaxed curfew for 14 hours in view of the improving security situations in the city that witnessed group clashes on Wednesday.
       
Curfew was relaxed from 6 am to 8 pm while the night curfew would continue, official sources said.
       
No untoward incident was reported today.

Police, yesterday, registered 4 cases in connection with looting of shops in Delhi Gate and Bhumapul areas and 14 persons were booked. Several other cases of looting were also registered.
      
In a case of rioting and arson, four persons were arrested for torching a shop at Bhumapul.
       
Meanwhile, district magistrate Khamni Chauhan Ratan said curfew would be lifted from various police station areas in Delhi Gate and Kotwali areas tomorrow.

Paramilitary forces, including 600 personnel from the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and 500 PAC jawans were deployed in the city following Wednesday's clash after some shopkeepers allegedly beat up the driver of a tractor for parking the vehicle near the railway station.
