The mortal remains of CRPF jawan Sandeep Yadav, who was killed in the worst-ever Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh two days ago, were consigned to flames with full state honours at his native village Nandgaon today.
A CRPF contingent reversed arms and fired in the air in honour of their fallen colleague while Tehsildar Radhey Shaym Bishnoi placed the wreath on behalf of the governor.

Yadav was one of the 75 personnel killed in the deadliest Naxal attack on security forces on Tuesday in the jungles of Dantewada district.
29-year-old Yadav had joined the paramilitary force in September 2002 and undergone training in gurrila fight in March this year.
He is survived by wife Sunita Devi, a son and a daughter.
