Counterfeit Indian currency notes recovered in Thiruvananthapuram

The notes found were in the denomination of Rs500 and Rs100. Its total value would come to around Rs One lakh, police said.

Police recovered bundles of counterfeit Indian currency notes from two cars parked at place called Thekkumudu in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday.

The notes found were in the denomination of Rs500 and Rs100. Its total value would come to around Rs One lakh, police said.

Police also confiscated scanners and printers used for making counterfeit currency notes. The two cars were also seized by police. Probe has started and search for the culprits was progressing, police added.
