Cop fires from moving Gypsy in Ishrat case reconstruction

On the second day of the Ishrat encounter reconstruction, the SIT looking into the case, made the commando of suspended police officer NK Amin fire at an Indica car from a Gypsy that was in motion.

However, unlike the earlier reconstruction, this one did not take place at the actual scene of encounter but at the Karai Police Academy

The teams from All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) along with the members and chairman of Ishrat-SIT reconstructed the scene in which the Indica car was fired at by the Gujarat police officials as mentioned in the Ishrat encounter FIR.

It should be noted that when the Ishrat encounter took place the commando who was accompanying then Deputy Superintendent of Police NK Amin had fired at the Indica. During the reconstruction the commando, was able to shoot at the tyre of the Indica as mentioned in the FIR.

Sources close to the development said that the commando posted with Amin had mentioned in the complaint that after seeing the Indica car, he was ordered to shoot at it. The team measured the distance between the two vehicles and tried to keep the same during the reconstruction.
