Congress to gherao LK Advani's 'rath' in Bihar: Sanjay Nirupam

Describing BJP leader LK Advani's proposed 'Jan Chetna Yatra' from October 11 as a "drama", Congress Sunday said that its workers would gherao his rath in Bihar as the state government was "mired in corruption".

"Congress workers will not only gherao Advani's rath, but also show him black flags wherever the rath passes in Bihar," party's state unit in-charge Sanjay Nirupam said in Patna.

CAG had exposed AC/DC bills scam of Rs67,000 crore between 2002 and 2010 as the vouchers of various bills against which funds were drawn from treasury were missing, the Congress leader alleged.

"The BIADA land scam is yet another egg on the face of the state government which talks tall about transparency and probity in public life," Nirupam said.
