The saffron party's poster boy did it yet again. Chief minister Narendra Modi is apparently not tired of repeating the 'CBI misuse' and 'CWG corruption' raga, for he again launched on these two favourite topics at a public meeting in Vasna on Sunday. Modi also addressed two public meetings at Asarwa and Nava Wadaj, respectively, where the content of his speeches was more or less the same.

Modi, who is known for his oratory, was successful in getting a good round of applause for every charge he levelled against the Congress. He also dared the Congress-led Central government to arrest him. "Gujarat will no more tolerate the atrocities of the Central government," he said.

The chief minister went on to add that the upcoming elections were not about who wins or who loses. It is a war against atrocities, he said.

He boasted that he had kept Gujarat safe from Naxalites, Maoists and all other kinds of extremist elements. "Whatever be the consequences, I will not allow terrorism to strike roots in Gujarat," he said.

He also slammed the Congress for "making mistakes" in filing nominations and for the dispute over the 'Ka' and 'Kha' forms. He claimed that Congress workers had asked BJP leaders to request him (Modi) to allow their candidature. "...and we allowed them," he claimed.

Modi asked people to enquire from Congress candidates as to what relationship they shared with the slain Sohrabuddin Sheikh.
"What relation do they have with Sohrabuddin? We wish to know why they're spending sleepless nights over him," he thundered.
