BSNL employees stage sit-in to protest against corporator in Andhra Pradesh

BSNL employees staged a `dharna' here to protest attack on their officer K Satyanarayana Raju and some other staffers allegedly by city corporator Babji and his son.

They demanded registration of cases against Babji and his son under the ST/SC (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The sit-in was held in front of the Revenue Divisional Office (RDO) yesterday.

The employees of the government-owned telecom firm alleged inaction on part of the police in the matter. They said their agitation would continue till action was taken against the culprit.
   
They later submitted a memorandum to the local administration.
