BSF holds three flag meetings with Pakistan Rangers

The Border Security Force has held three flag meetings with the Pakistan Rangers and lodged strong protest over repeated infiltration bids along International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir.
    
The BSF authorities today held a flag meeting with counterpart Chinab Rangers. The body of a Pakistani intruder was also handed over to them at Chawani Border Out Post (BOP) in RS Pura sub-sector of Jammu district, BSF officials said.
    
"An FIR was registered in connection with the killing of the Pak intruder and body handed over to them (Pakistan Rangers), they said.
    
The second meet was held between Pakistan Rangers led by 3rd Rangers unit incharge Asgar Ali and BSF unit led by Assistant Commandant Santosh Kumar at forward post Phadpur in Hirnagar sub-sector of Kathua district, the officials said.
    
Pakistan Rangers raised the demand for allowing farmers from their country to cultivate lands near 2 metres away from zeroline, which the BSF turned down saying it comes under no man's land and in the present state of things no permission for cultivation would be given, they said.
