Blast rocks Poonch in Jammu & Kashmir, no casualty

An Improvised Explosive Device planted by militants went off in a park in the border town of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir today but there was no casualty, police officials said.

The IED kept in Preetam Park exploded at 1750 hours rocking the entire town and the sound of the blast was heard 10-15 kms away, they said.

"There would have been huge casualities in the park which is thronged by evening walkers generally after 6 PM", the officials said.
