Accusing the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government of being anti-farmers, senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh today asked party workers to resolve not to allow acquisition of single inch of farmers' land till the Land Acquisition Act was amended.

"Land acquisition has deepened the crisis of food security in the country. We should resolve not to allow acquisition of single inch of land until and unless the act is amended by the UPA government," Rajnath said while addressing the two-day state working committee meeting in Lucknow.

He alleged that in Uttar Pradesh the government initiated the process of land acquisition during which atrocities were committed against the farmers.

"The new rehabilitation policy by government has provided some relief, but it is still not satisfactory," he said.

Rajnath said that the government was offering relief at the cost of the death of three farmers in Tappal.

"Even the experts have raised serious concern over food security, but both the governments (Centre and state) are least concerned," he alleged.

Rajnath alleged that criminalisation, casteism and corruption were the USP of the Samajwadi Party and the BSP, whereas Congress regime has become synonymous with terrorism, price rise and Naxalism.

"We had been demanding a comprehensive action plan for naxalism. Now when the number of naxal affected districts has reached 275 the Centre has waken up and its talking about a joint action plan," Rajnath alleged.

Talking about the current crisis in the Kashmir Valley, he said the special status accorded to Jammu and Kashmir should be abolished as it had failed to remove poverty and unemployment from the state and fomented trouble instead.

"Voices of Pakistan zindabad were emanating from the Valley, but the government has failed to control the situation when such people should have been treated like traitors," he said adding that the Centre lacked the will power to resolve the Kashmir issue.

"It lacks the will power needed to resolve Kashmir issue," he alleged adding that Bangladeshi were infiltrating and large scale conversion was being carried out.

"When we raise these issued we are called communal, whereas in fact Congress is the most communal party," he alleged.
