ShareHisar (Haryana): A year after disowning his son Chander Mohan for converting to Islam and getting married to Fiza, Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) chief Bhajan Lal has accepted him back in the family.
Bhajan Lal had disowned Mohan, a former Congress MLA from Kalka constituency and former state deputy chief minister, after he married Anuradha Bali alias Fiza, a former assistant advocate general with the Haryana government, last year.
The former Haryana chief minister had yesterday told media persons over phone from Delhi that he had accepted Mohan back in the family fold.
Mohan was also sacked in December last as deputy chief minister by the Hooda government after he got embroiled in the controversy.
Both Mohan and Fiza had disappeared in November last year and re-appeared in December after 40 days as a married couple with new names after embracing Islam.
The marriage lasted hardly 40 days with Mohan suddenly leaving Fiza's house on January 28.
Mohan had recently re-converted to Hinduism and 'divorced' Fiza.
The Bishnoi sect, which the Bhajan Lal family follows, had recently taken back Mohan into its fold after he apologised to its leaders, family members said.
