Anna to strategise next move on Jan 2-3

A day after ending its Mumbai agitation abruptly, Team Anna has decided to meet in Ralegan Siddhi on January 2-3, 2012, to discuss its next strategy and restructure the anti-corruption movement. Sources close to Team Anna said a major discussion will be about re-thinking its approach during future agitations for a strong Lokpal Bill.

“The failure to replicate the success of the August agitation will also be taken up, but won’t be discussed too much,” sources told DNA. Team Anna will focus on methods to increase its mass base that will respond to its calls for action. Special attention will be given to the over 1 lakh people who registered themselves for the proposed jail bharo andolan. The andolan was called off due to Anna Hazare’s deteriorating health.

Hazare’s personal secretary Datta Awari told DNA that the activist’s health was improving and that he would attend the core committee meetings. Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi, former justice Santosh Hegde and Prashant Bhushan will be present as well.
