Ahmedabad hotel to celebrate Earth Hour today

In a bid to create awareness about the harmful effects of climate change and global warming, Le Meridien Hotel under the aegis of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc will be observing Earth Hour for 60 minutes beginning from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Saturday.

Mrinal Sarkar, manager of Le Meridien said, "Our aim is to create awareness about climate change.”

The hotel will be switching off air conditioners and turning off lights whenever required. Instead candle lights will be used in restaurants and lobby areas, Sarkar said. “We request our guests to bear with the inconvenience," he further added.
