Rajesh Vyas aka Rajubhai, will also be responsible for the fireworks for the occasion, as firecrackers for Esha’s wedding have been supplied by Vyas.
Having known the Deols for nearly 30 years, Rajubhai is elated at the invite he got from his ‘second family’.
“Dharmendrabhai and Hemabhabhi are like my family members and the feeling of being part of their daughter’s wedding has definitely put me on cloud nine”, said an ecstatic Rajubhai who was en route to Mumbai to attend the function. He has been a regular to Deols’ family functions for years. An ardent fan of Dharmendra since five, it was Rajubhai’s obsession to meet Dharmendra that made him visit Mumbai every two month for three consecutive years, till he actually met him.
“I was a 16-year-old and had appeared for my SSC when I first visited Mumbai. I lied at home saying I was on a trip to Mount Abu with friends. With Rs350 in pocket, I dragged four other friends with me (I also lied to them that Dharmendra had invited us as I was his biggest fan) and all of us reached Mumbai. We placed ourselves in Dreamland hotel, Khetwadi and spent five days struggling to see Dharmendra, but in vain”, said Rajubhai.
The failure of first attempt did not deter his determination of meeting the ‘Action king’ of Bollywood. “I would wait for hours outside his house, irrespective of heavy rainfall and cold winds for three years. On my first visit, I had kissed the walls of his bungalow, which had been seen by watchmen and many of Deol’s shooting crew. It was one of them, who saw my perseverance and provided me the information about his shooting location”, Rajubhai said.
