A raid by the Danilimda police revealed how stolen automobiles are chopped up into parts and sold at local scrap-yards. The cops’ revelations indicate this nexus is a state-wide network, and could possibly be a nation-wide set-up.
On Wednesday, Danilimda cops had arrested three people - Imran Sheikh (22), Rustom Ansari (26), Naresh Yadav (38) from a godown near Narol circle. The arrests were made following a raid wherein the cops found a Mahindra Maxx pick-up chopped up into parts which was stolen.
The trio then told the cops about Shabbir Ghoghari, who is
the owner of a shop at Scrap-yard no. 4 at Danilimda. The cops recovered many stolen vehicle parts, from the shop.
