Shahibaug police are still clueless over the complaint of the woman who charged three resident doctors of the civil hospital with molestation and attempt of rape.

On the other hand, in an attempt to ascertain the genuineness of an incident whether the resident doctor of the civil hospital's gynaecology department was actually stabbed and not a cooked up story, the blood-stained shirt of the doctor will be sent to the forensic science laboratory in Gandhinagar. This will also help police inspect the 'motive' of the assailants.

According to sources, the police are yet to take statement of gynaecology ward's staff. In fact, the police haven't yet done the identification parade to identify the doctors who have been booked.

It's worth mentioning that Sunil Jadhav, a resident doctor was reportedly attacked at civil hospital's gate number-3 on Wednesday evening. The incident was dramatically followed by a 35-year-old woman's complaint in which she charged the doctors with molestation and attempt of rape.

What is surprising is the fact that police normally don't register such kind of complaint (IPC-354) in haste, though in this instance they did. When asked about the progress in the investigation, police inspector FL Vasava refused to comment.

However, sources said that the police are sending the blood stained shirt of the doctor for further investigation at FSL.
