71-year-old dies of H1N1 flu in Kerala; toll goes up to 13

A total of 7,026 persons were screened at airports in the last 24 hours and 229 persons were quarantined in homes and 15 in hospitals.

Swine flu claimed another victim in Kerala with a 71-year-old man succumbing to the virus today, pushing up the toll to 13 in the state, health department officials said.
    
Daniel, who had been undergoing treatment for heart disease at a private hospital here, died and the tests have confirmed his H1N1 status.
    
A total of 7,026 persons were screened at airports in the last 24 hours and 229 persons were quarantined in homes and 15 in hospitals, the sources said.
    
The sources said 888 persons have tested positive for H1N1 in the state.
