66 employees in Indore suspended for not doing census work

The suspended employees who had been trained as supervisor and enumerator for conducting the headcount belonged to different departments of Madhya Pradesh.

The district administration here has suspended 66 employees for not doing the Census work seriouly, official sources said today.
       
"A total of 66 employees were suspended on charges of negligence in doing Census work," the sources said.
       
The suspended employees who had been trained as supervisor and enumerator for conducting the headcount belonged to different departments of the state.
       
They did not report for duty after undergoing training. The district administration conducted a probe before deciding to suspend them, the sources said.
       
Besides, cases have been registered against 25 employees of private colleges under The Census Act of 1948 for remaining absent from the Census duty, the sources added.
