14-year-old girl raped by neighbour in Uttar Pradesh

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Eka area of the city, police said today.

Awadhesh, the neighbour, allegedly raped the girl on May 29 while her parents had gone to attend a marriage function and she was alone at home, Manjil Saini Dahal, superintendent of police said.

She narrated the incident to her parents yesterday when they returned after attending the function, the SP said.

A case has been registered and medical examination of the girl is ordered, Dahal said.
