14 arrested for gambling in Ahmedabad

With the month of Shravan, people of Gujarat get into different types of gambling games and many of them even land up behind bars, if nabbed in police raids. The city police arrested as many as 14 people from Satellite and Naroda for allegedly being involved in gambling activities.

Police caught them red-handed while playing card games and they have also seized cash as well as mobile phones from the accused.

In two different raids conducted in Satellite and Naroda, police have seized cash amounting to Rs 22,500. A raid was conducted at Rudra Raw House in Satellite by the Satellite police and eight people were arrested, while on the other side, six people were arrested in a raid conducted in Saibaba apartments in Naroda.

Both raids were conducted on the basis of information provided to the police control room.
