12-year-old girl commits suicide in New Delhi

A 12-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her residence in north-west district's Model Town area today, police said.

The deceased, Payal, a class VI student, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her residence.

She took the extreme step when her parents were not at home.

Payal was found hanging by her mother after she came from a market and was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
