Youth cons elderly couple on pretext of religious ritual

A 60-year-man and his wife (58) were conned by a youth on pretext of religious ritual in Mahesh Nagar area.

One Satish Chandra Sharma has registered a case saying that he was feeding cows in the morning when a 25-year-old youth reached the spot and informed him that he had to do a secret ritual for which he has to touch an object made of gold. Satish called his wife Sumitra from inside their home and reached the temple where the said ritual was to take place.

At the temple the woman handed over her chain to the youth and claiming to get some sweets for the ritual, the youth left from the spot.

When he did not return till late, they tried to find the youth but in vain. Failing to locate him the couple approached the police.

Police is on the lookout for the youth.
