Yadav musical chairs: Akhilesh removes Shivpal from Irrigation and Social Justice department

Looks like the family feud in Uttar Pradesh is not over yet. After a reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Saturday, Samajwadi Party UP State President​ Shivpal Yadav was removed from Irrigation and Social justice departments. Shankhlal Majhi was assigned the social justice department. 

Transport department was given to Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, who was sacked last month on corruption charges. However, Prajapati was re-inducted when things were sorted out between Shivpal and his nephew Akhilesh Yadav. Manoj Kumar Pandey was given the Electronics and IT portfolio. 

The feud in the Yadav family had spilled into the open after UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav stripped Shivpal of key ministerial portfolios on September 13, hours after he was replaced with Shivpal as the party's state unit chief by Mulayam Singh Yadav.
