West Bengal: SRFTI director, registrar relieved from their duties

The director and registrar of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) in Kolkata, who were on deputation to the institute, have been relieved from their duties. 

Registrar Anindya Acharya said amid complaints of irregularities and sexual harassment cases in SRFTI, he had written to the Centre seeking a transfer. "Today me and our director, both have got letters allowing us to go back to our parent organisation. He has been sent immediately and I have been asked to leave on June 10," Acharya said. 

Debanjan Chakrabarti, SRFTI's director, is with the PIB and was sent on deputation to SRFTI.
