Watch: 'I am Chennai', a heartwarming tribute to those who helped the flood-ravaged city get back on its feet

The recent rains and subsequent floods in Chennai devastated the city. But there were hundreds of people who came forward to help those suffering, with food, clothes, medicines and just about anything they needed. 

Despite the fact that there was nearly six to eight feet water in some areas, people weathered it all to ensure that those caught in the floods were safe. Many stepped out of their home to venture out in the rain to rescue people even though their own homes were flooded. There were others who worked on preparing food, packing and distributing it in the rain-battered areas.

The spirit of Chennai came to the fore during this disaster and 'Put Chutney' has now paid a beautiful video tribute to this. A Culture Machine production, the video takes you through numerous small stories of those who helped  Chennai get back on its feet.
