Watch: 11 people, including BJP MLA, rescued after boat capsizes during Ganpati Visarjan in Kolhapur

Eleven people, including Maharashtra BJP MLA Suresh Halvankar, were rescued when a boat capsized in Kolhapur on Sunday. The boat was out in the river for Ganpati Visarjan. 

This is not the first such incident. Earlier this week, in Karnataka, eight people drowned and four others went missing when a small boat carrying them for the immersion of a Ganesha idol sank in the Tungabadhra river near Hadonahalli in Shivamogga on Wednesday. More than 20 people were in the boat when the incident happened.
