VVIP Chopper scam: Congress asks Govt to stop campaign of 'innuendos'

As CBI is set to start another round of questioning in the AgustaWestland case, Congress on Wednesday asked the government to stop the campaign of "innuendos" in the multi-core helicopter deal case.

He was asked his reaction on reports that the CBI is all set to start another round of questioning in the multi-crore AgustaWestland helicopter deal case.

Reports had it that the decision to start another round of questioning has been taken after getting replies of the agency s judicial requests from Tunisia, Italy and British Virgin Island. Singhvi said that everyone has understood that the government wants to "keep the pot boiling and keep the things hanging" to create sensationalism instead of finding the truth.

BJP has often targeted the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and other party leaders on the issue of bribes in the AugustaWestland chopper deal, who have dismissed it as "baseless".
