AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday asked the electors not to waste their vote by voting for Congress as it has already conceded defeat, after former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit declared Congress' support for AAP in an event of a hung assembly.

Kejriwal said the fight has become bi-polar and was now between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party. "Sheila ji's statement important. Congress has conceded defeat. People should not waste their vote now by voting for Congress. They should vote for AAP. "Now Delhi elections are a straight bipolar fight," Kejriwal tweeted.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said Congress support to Aam Aadmi Party cannot be ruled out in case of a hung verdict in the upcoming Assembly elections, comments which were quickly contradicted by the party.

"We had given outside support to AAP to form a government after the Assembly election over a year back. I cannot rule out supporting the AAP if a similar situation arises after the polls. Any decision on party's strategy depending on the outcome of the election will be taken by the top leadership," Dikshit had said.
