Vasundhara Raje expands her council of ministers, inducts 14 new members

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday inducted 14 members into her council of ministers, in the first expansion since BJP formed the government in Rajasthan in December last. Four of them were given Cabinet rank while six were sworn in as Minister of State (Independent charge).

They were administered oath by Governor Kalyan Singh in the presence of Chief Minister Raje at a ceremony in Raj Bhawan here. Those who were sworn in as Cabinet Ministers are Rajpal Singh (MLA from Jhotwara), Kiran Maheshwari (Rajsamand), Surendra Goyal (Jaitaran) and Dr Rampratap (Hanumangarh). Amra Ram (Pachpadra), Krishnendra Kaur (Nadbai), Vasudev Devnani (Ajmer North), Rajkumar Rinwa, Surendra Pal Singh (Karanpur) and Anita Bhadel (Ajmer South) were sworn in as Ministers of State (Independent charge).

Those who were sworn in as Minister of State were Pushpendra Singh (Bali), Babu Lal Verma, Arjun Lal, Otaram Dewasi (Sirohi). Devnani took oath in Sanskrit while others took oath in Hindi. This is the first expansion of Cabinet after Raje took over as Chief Minister in December last year. Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal, BJP state president Ashok Parnami and other leaders were present on the occasion.
