The V-C had tweeted to inform CM Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma, who is also a Professor in the varsity, about the violence and attack on the varsity teachers.

The agitated students were demanding withdrawal of their expulsion and admission in PG courses. Two of them had began an indefinite fast since Wednesday in support of their demand.
