Varanasi Kathak dancer successfully breaks world record by dancing for 124 hours

Varanasi's Soni Chaurasia who was on a mission to break the world record by performing kathak for 124 hours straight has succeeded in doing so.

However, the dancer has decided to continue dancing and not stop even though she has successfully made the world record. 

Soni had invited PM Narendra Modi to witness the moment when she made the world record. But, unfortuntely the prime minister could not make it. MoS Railways Manoj Sinha was present at the occasion to encourage her. 

Earlier, the world record was held by Kerlaa's Hemlatha who performed on Mohiniattam for 123 hours and 15 minutes.
