Rawat has also given directions to create a consolidated plan for cities like Rishikesh and Haridwar which are situated on the banks of Ganga. Similarly, he wants a plan to be prepared for Yamuna and other rivers, as all small rivers converge with the Ganga or Yamuna. Rawat said, the condition in which Ganga originates from Gangotri, the state government is committed to giving it to the country in the same condition.

He has also asked the officials to prepare data for villages without toilets and also data on the situation of toilets in aganwadis and schools.

He said that in the cities situated on the banks of the river focus should be laid on cleanliness, sewarage and treatment plants and a plan should be prepared for them. And while preparing them it should be kept in mind what will be the population in these places after 10 years.

Rawat has said that the proposals to be sent to the central government should be prepared on time.
