Uttar Pradesh: Three persons of a family killed in road accident

Three members of a family were killed and four others injured when the SUV in which they were travelling was hit by a truck in Barhad police station area in Azamgarh, police said on Tuesday. The incident took place last night when the family was going for darshans at Vindyachal Dham, they said.

Kiran Singh (40), her sons Vikas (18) and Vivek (14) were killed on the spot when their vehicle was hit from behind by the truck near Bhira Bazar on the Azamgarh-Jaunpur road, police said.

Four others who were injured were admitted to a hospital and the condition of some of them is stated to be serious, they said.
