Uttar Pradesh: Man brutally kills wife for refusing to have sex with him

A man from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh brutally murdered his wife for refusing to have sex with him, according to Hindustan Times.

The man, hailing from Bareilly's Nariyawal village, then sat beside the body and drank liquor for over six hours before the police caught him.

According to HT, the police said that Rajiv Sharma killed his wife in a fit of rage. The incident was reported by the elder sister of the deceased who lives in the same locality.

The couple have a 10-year-old son.

"When we reached the spot we found the deceased's body lying in a pool of blood with the accused sitting next to it, on the bed," said CO Santosh Kumar to HT. The officers also had a tough time persuading Rajiv to open the main gate of his house.

"There were no external injuries on the body but there was a lot of blood," said SO Rajbeer Singh.

Rajiv Sharma confessed to inserting his entire forearm into his wife's vagina, which resulted in her death. After this heinous act, he now claims his wife 'has gone to visit somebody in the city'.

After keeping him at the Bithri police station overnight, police presented Rajiv in the lower court on Saturday. The court has ordered a remand of 14 days, says HT.

Mangli Prasad, a tenant living in the couple's house, refused to reveal much except that the couple used to fight a lot.
