Hinting that the Supreme Court judgment on Ayodhya land dispute case may come sooner than expected, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured agitated seers and saints that construction of the Ram temple will begin soon within the constitutional framework.

Speaking at a function in Ayodhya on Monday to celebrate 80th birthday of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Chairman of Ram Janambhoomi Nyas, the Chief Minister appealed to seers and saints to have a little more patience.

“No one should have any doubts about the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The construction will begin soon. But we have to work within the constitutional limits and it requires little more patience,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath said that this promise was coming from him whose three generations spearheaded the Ram Janambhoomi movement. “A few political parties were putting obstacles but a solution within the constitutional framework will be found soon to begin the construction,” he assured.

The Chief Minister also took a jibe at Samajwadi Party and the Congress saying that “they are now talking of temple who ordered firing on Kar sevaks.”

Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Saryu Mahotsav and went to Maniram Chavani to congratulate Mahant Nritya Gopal Das on his 80th birthday.

He, however, did not pay a visit to the makeshift Ram Lala Temple.

Earlier, Dr Ram Vilash Vedanti, former BJP MP, announced that the construction of Ram temple will begin by March 2019, with or without Supreme Court judgement. “We did not wait for a court judgment to pull down the structure. We will also not wait for the court verdict to begin the construction of Ram temple,” he warned.
