Dismissing Jaish-e-Mohammad's claim, Union Minister of State for Home Hans Raj Ahir on Friday said that Pakistan was directly involved in the killing and mutilating the body of BSF Head Constable Narendra Singh on the International Border (IB) in Ramgarh sector of Jammu and Kashmir last month.

Pakistan Rangers had slit the throat and gouged the eyes of head constable Narender Singh, 50, who was part of a BSF patrol deployed to clear thick sarkanda (elephant grass) growth on the IB on September 18.

Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) had released the pictures of arms and ammunition on social media the next day claiming that those belonged to Singh, who was killed allegedly by their cadres on the IB.

However, Ahir rubbished the claims and held Pakistan directly responsible for the act. "We do not trust what Pakistan government or terror group says. We have accused Pakistan for this despicable act. We stand by our word," he said.

Ahir said directions have been issued to the jawans not to open fire from their side, but fire 10 bullets if they (Pakistan) fire one.

"You have been given directions not to fire from your side. But if they fire one bullet you should fire 10. It is our power," he said while addressing BSF soldiers.

Lauding soldiers for their efforts at keeping the nation safe, he said that the government is committed to employ new technology so that the casualty of the soldiers is significantly minimised.
