Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh takes on Congress, promises jobs for youth in Jharkhand

Firing salvos at the Congress leadership, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said he wanted to ask the party leadership why, even after decades of its rule, crores of uneducated youth were unemployed.

"Ever since independence, if any party has managed to rule India for a long time, it has been Congress. I want to ask the leaders of the party that a country like India, which has no scarcity of resources, has a population of over Rs 120 crore people, why are crores of educated youth unemployed," Rajnath said at an election rally here.

The Home Minister also said his government will provide training and skill development to youngsters, as well as loans at lower interests to help employ them.

"We will provide training and skill development to youngsters. And when the youngsters are trained, we will make sure they receive loans at 3-4 percent interest from banks to start small enterprises," he added.

In Jharkhand, the first, second and the third phase of polling have been completed while the fourth and the fifth phase of polling will take place on December 14 and December 20

respectively. The counting of votes will take place on December 23.
