Uber launches UberFLEET app to improve efficiency

Uber India, on Monday, launched UberFLEET, an Android app for its fleet-partners in India.

The new app will allow fleet partners with driver positioning, helping drivers achieve maximum performance and run their fleets more efficiently, the company said in a statement.

“We have hundreds of thousands of driver partners in India; a lot of them have progressed forward in life as entrepreneurs: They now own their own fleets and work with us as fleet partners.” said Apurva Dalal, Head of Engineering, Uber India.

The application is designed to improve the overall productivity for fleet managing drivers to make them more efficient and reduce the downtime.

How will UberFLEET work?

The app will be available on the Google Play Store. Once logged in, the fleet partners will be to see a live map of their fleet and the details related to driver activity and performance.

They will be able to click on an individual driver to check detailed statistics like fares, cash collected, hours online, login/ logout time stamps, trip details, incentives earned as well as a live map for the individual online drivers and last online location for offline drivers.

“UberFleet app is yet another step towards encouraging and support the entrepreneurial ambitions of our fleet partners,” Dalal added.
