TMC's Moon Moon Sen contests against Basudeb Acharia of CPI(M)

Srimati Dev Barma, better known to people by her screen name Moon Moon Sen is contesting for the Bankura seat in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. 

Sen is fighting for the Trinamool Congress and is in the fray against Basudeb Acharia of CPI(M) who had won the 2009 Lok Sabha Elections with a 47.6% majority. Apart from Acharia, she is pitted against Nilmadhab Gupta from Congress party and Subhas Sarkar from BJP. 

Moon Moon is married to Bharat Dev Varma, who is a descendant of the royal family of Tripuri. Her late mother in law, Ila Devi was a sister of Maharani of Jaipur, Gayatri Devi. Sen has two daughters Raima Sen and Riya Sen both of whom are Bollywood actresses.

West Bengal goes to polls on May 7, in the 8th and penultimate phase of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
