Three consecutive minor bomb blasts rock West Bengal, one dead

It was as if different parts of West Bengal were sitting on a time bomb on Friday. One after another, three blasts rocked the state, sending chills down the spine of the state administration.

It was as if different parts of West Bengal were sitting on a time bomb on Friday. One after another, three blasts rocked the state, sending chills down the spine of the state administration.

 It was at around noon, when a crude bomb exploded in an abandoned house at Barrackpore in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.
 
A little after noon and another crude bomb went off in the heart of the city, Cossipore. One person died and three were injured in the minor crude bomb blast. Two others injured are undergoing treatment at the RG Kar Medical College. Bomb Disposal Squad and sniffer dogs are at the spot looking for hidden bombs in the area.
 
In the evening, another crude bomb blast was reported in Burdwan district. A crude bomb went off on the terrace of a school and three students were injured. All three students have been rushed to the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital.
 
Meanwhile, police have begun an investigation into all three cases of explosion.
