A heavily armed group of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists shot dead two civilians on Friday night after abducting them from their home in North Kashmir.

This is the second incident after terrorists killed a 35-year-old man and injured his wife critically in Sopore on Friday evening.

Hajin residents Bashir Ahmad Dar, 26, and his uncle Ghulam Hassan Dar, 45, were kidnapped on Friday night around 10 pm after the group of LeT terrorists barged into their home and asked Dar to accompany them. Reportedly, a few hours later, the terrorists returned along with Dar and also asked Ghulam to accompany them. About half an hour later, the two were shot dead in cold blood and their bodies were thrown near a local mosque.

Dar was the sole bread-earner in the family. "Who will apply henna on our hands? Who shall give us a send-off on our wedding? Where will I find my brother? Under whose care have you left us? Why did he leave us alone?" Dar's sisters asked. A carpenter by profession, Dar is survived by his mother, two sisters and a younger brother.

"The terrorists shot them dead around 3 am. Their bodies were found by the locals near a mosque at Raheem Dar Mohalla, Shahgund, Hajin. Ghulam Hassan was Bashir Ahmed uncle," said a police spokesperson. "A case has been registered and an investigation is underway," the spokesperson added.

In a similar incident, suspected terrorists killed three civilians in cold blood in Baramulla on April 30. The terrorists surfaced near Khanpora market in Baramulla and fired indiscriminately, killing three people on the spot.
