TERI director RK Pachauri granted interim protection till February 26

A Delhi court on Monday granted The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) director general Rajendra Kumar Pachauri anticipatory bail till February 26 in the recent sexual harassment allegations filed against him.

According to Pachauri's lawyer, the court granted the TERI chief bail on medical grounds as well as merit.

"RK Pachauri has filed an anticipatory bail on medical grounds and on merit. Medical documents are to be produced on February 26," he said.

Pachauri had earlier withdrawn his bail application from the Delhi High Court and had moved it to the Saket district court in the national capital. A case under IPC Section 354 has been registered against Pachauri at the Lodhi Colony police station in the national capital.
