Continuing his exposé against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)'s first family, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday alleged that his predecessor and RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav's younger son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav misused his position and started the construction of his Rs 750 core mall without getting its building plan approved.

"They filed for the approval of the mall's building plan almost 10 days after the soil scam came to light on April 4, 2017, even though its construction was already underway," Modi said at a news conference in Patna on Tuesday.

He said, "The building plan, which was filed in a haste, was returned by the approving authority citing lack of documents such as land receipts, NOCs from NGT and fire department, site photographs and signature of the land owner. Despite that, the construction work was not stopped until the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests ordered the same due to lack of clearances."

The senior BJP leader's "relentless" attacks alleged Rs 1,000 crore Benami deals of Lalu and his family was one of the reasons for disintegration of the Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar in July.
