Teenage girl gangraped by four youths in Haridwar district

A teenage girl was allegedly gangraped by four youths after being offered a soft drink laced with intoxicants in Haridwar district, police said today.

As per a complaint lodged at Bhagwanpur police station at Roorkee yesterday, the incident occurred on October 3 when the 14-year-old victim was alone at her home as her mother had gone to visit some of her relatives, Circle Officer G B Pandey said.

The four youths who were repairing a hand pump in front of her house took her to a fair where they offered her a drink laced with intoxicants.

They then took her to a forest along the banks of Solani river and raped her, Pandey said, adding no arrests have so far been made in this connection.
