MK Stalin and other MLAs protested against at Chennai's Marina Beach after r the floor test result went in favour of AIADMK's Palaniswamy.

An FIR was filed on Sunday against DMK leader MK Stalin for his party's protest at Marina Beach on Saturday evening. Stalin is currently holding a special meeting with party MLAs at the party headquarters.
After the floor test result went in favour of AIADMK's Edappadi K Palaniswami, DMK working president MK Stalin and other MLAs protested against this at Chennai's Marina Beach and were detained by the police. Stalin also wrote to Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao dubbing the floor test conducted in the absence of his party members as foul and unconstitutional.
Palaniswami won the vote of confidence on Saturday with 122 MLAs supporting him amidst the uproar in the assembly.
Pandemonium had broke out in the Assembly during the confidence vote sought by Palaniswami, with the DMK members creating a ruckus and later alleging manhandling of its MLAs including Leader of the Opposition MK Stalin by marshals
Palaniswami took oath as Tamil Nadu's 13th Chief Minister on Thursday. A total of 31 other All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) MLAs were also sworn in.
